It’s springtime, and your legs have been in hibernation all winter. You’re looking for a quick and easy tanning solution for your upcoming beach trip, but know going to a tanning bed isn’t healthy for your skin. Not to mention, tanning beds can be pricey, and you just don’t have time for that in your busy work schedule. We have the perfect solution for you: self-tanning lotion.
I live and breathe by self-tanning lotions these days. Growing up and going to college in Florida has been a blessing when it comes to having a desired dark glow, but my 9-5 no longer gives me the luxury to hit the beach whenever I feel like it, so I now turn to self-tanning products. Here are P&P’s three favorite self-tanning products:
Jergen’s Natural Glow Instant Tanning Mousse
I use this self-tanning product the most often. It is easy to apply and dries within 60 seconds. For the best results, make sure you exfoliate your skin before applying and keep your skin moisturized for long-lasting color.
Details: Jergens Natural Glow Instant Sun Mousse uniquely works with your skin tone to mimic results from the natural sun, free of orange hues. The airy mousse allows for a more precise even application that dries in just 60 seconds.
The best thing about it?: Instant results/color and the smell is more tolerable than most self-tanning products.
St. Moriz Instant Self Tanning Mousse
If I’m looking for a nice deep tan, I turn to St. Moriz. Unfortunately, the color only lasts for a few days, so I find myself having to reapply often. This mousse is easy to apply and never leaves a streaky look.
Details: St. Moriz Instant Self Tanning Lotion Dark is our must have for that deeper, long haul, bronzed look. For those who prefer a lotion application that develops into a fabulous deep golden tan and leaves you with a feel good bronzed glow, this award winning product is for you.
The best thing about it?: It gives you a beautiful dark and even tan, and the application mitt makes applying it effortless.
Neutrogena Micro-Mist Tanning Sunless Spray
This is probably the favorite out of all three, but it’s just a little more challenging to apply. The spray is great for a natural and even tone, but I do find that you have to rub it in to avoid streaks and unevenness.
Details: Neutrogena MicroMist Tanning applies like an airbrush spray for hands-free application. The mist is so light and fine, and the coverage so even, there’s no need to rub. One-touch continuous spray works at any angle to tan hard-to-reach places – even your back. Goes on fast and dries in less than 5 minutes so that you can shower, dress and go.
The best thing about it?: The natural color it gives your skin; it looks like you went on vacation rather than the tanning salon.
Now you know our tanning tricks! Do you use any self-tanning products? Do you recommend we try any others?
